Privacy, without the legal fog

Your information.
Handled with care.

This policy explains what information I collect, why I use it and the choices you have when you visit my websites, join my newsletter or use The Live Build.

Who is responsible for your information?

Jadon Bellot is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. The websites covered are jadonbellot.com and links.jadonbellot.com, including The Live Build pages.

For privacy requests, email support@jadonbellot.com. The business is based in London, United Kingdom.

02

Information I collect

Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect your name, email address, telephone number, business name, website and social links, enquiry or correspondence, newsletter preferences, booking details and information you submit through The Live Build intake.

For clients, this may also include project requirements, brand preferences, website goals, services, customer information and the status of a booking or payment. Payment card details are collected by the payment provider and are not stored on my website.

Technical and analytics information may include your IP address, approximate location, browser, device, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, interactions, security-check results and basic server logs.

03

How and why I use it

I use personal information to respond to enquiries; provide quotes and services; manage payments, bookings and client projects; prepare and deliver The Live Build; provide support; maintain records; prevent misuse; secure the websites; and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

If you actively subscribe, I use your email address to send the Ungated or Digital Leverage newsletter and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email.

04

Lawful bases

I rely on contract where information is needed to take steps at your request or deliver a service you purchased. I rely on consent for optional email marketing. I may rely on legitimate interests to answer enquiries, operate and secure the websites, improve services, maintain appropriate business records and prevent fraud, provided those interests do not override your rights.

I rely on legal obligation where records must be retained or disclosed under applicable law. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.

05

Services that help me operate

I use trusted service providers where needed, including Hostinger for website hosting and Reach email marketing; Cloudflare for security, form processing, temporary workflow records and transactional email; HubSpot for CRM, checkout, payment records and client management; and Google Calendar and Google Meet for scheduling and calls.

I also use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and interactions, such as which pages are visited, general referral sources and device information. Analytics is used to improve the websites and measure performance, and should only run after the required consent has been given.

The links website also uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode. If you play an embedded video or open a third-party service, that provider may process information under its own privacy policy.

These providers act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service. I only share information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

06

International transfers

Some providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where required, transfers are protected using an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard.

You can contact me if you would like more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

07

How long I keep information

I keep information only for as long as reasonably needed. General enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe or the list is cleaned following prolonged inactivity.

Client, project, contract and transaction records are normally retained for the duration of the relationship and then for up to six years where needed for tax, accounting, dispute or legal purposes. Short-lived security and workflow records may be deleted much sooner.

Retention may be extended where a legal claim, investigation or statutory requirement applies, or shortened when the information is no longer required.

08

Cookies and local storage

The websites may use strictly necessary technologies for security, forms and core operation. Cloudflare Turnstile helps prevent automated misuse. The Live Build intake stores a draft in your browser for up to 30 days so you can return to it, and uses a temporary submission identifier to prevent duplicate submissions. You can remove this information by clearing the website data in your browser.

With your consent, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits and produce aggregated usage reports. Embedded content and external services may also set their own technologies when loaded or used. I do not use advertising cookies on these websites. You can refuse or withdraw consent for non-essential analytics without losing access to the core website.

09

AI-assisted work

AI-assisted tools may sometimes help organise project information or prepare draft website copy, structure, policies or marketing materials. I remain responsible for reviewing customer-facing work. I do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, health information or unnecessary confidential personal information through an enquiry or intake form.

10

Security

I use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, restricted service credentials, origin controls, anti-bot checks and access-controlled third-party systems. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, but suspected incidents are investigated and handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

11

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access your information; correct inaccurate information; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent.

To exercise a right, email support@jadonbellot.com. I may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. I would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

12

Children and changes

These websites and business services are not directed at children under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their information through them.

I may update this policy when services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date and version at the top will show when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
